MASON CITY Randy C. Frank, 49, of Mason City died Monday, June 1, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center of North Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, June 5, 2009, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. with Rev. Jon Seda of Holy Family Catholic Church officiating. Interment will be held in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday (June 4, 2009) from 5:00 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Randy Frank Memorial Fund. \r\n
Randy was born January 5, 1960, in Mason City the son of Robert and Beverly Frank. He attended Mason City schools. He was married to Debbie Tobie in 1989. He was disabled after two life threatening illnesses. He loved to tinker with machines, cars, lawn mowers, or anything with a motor. He also enjoyed hard rock music, and playing his guitar. He loved watching game shows on T.V. and was an enthusiastic Harley-Davidson fan. Family was important to Randy, especially his sons and he enjoyed spending time with all of them. He also was a wonderful care giver for his father for many years.\r\n
Randy is survived by his sons, Brandon Frank, Sean Frank, and Christopher Servantez; granddaughter, Aubrey; father, Robert Frank; sisters, Diana Holahan and husband Patrick of Mason City, Shirley Trevett and husband Brian of Rockford, IA; brothers, Michael Frank and wife Marilyn of Warner Robbins, GA, David Frank and wife Theresa of Mason City; Marty Frank and wife Jennifer of Mason City; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; many close friends. \r\n
He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie in 2005; mother, Beverly; his maternal and paternal grandparents.
