Randy L. Hirsch

Randy L. Hirsch, 68, of Mason City, IA, died Thursday, March 12, 2015, at his home. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be from 4 PM to 8 PM on Monday, March 16, 2015, at Homers Sports Bar & Grille, 1911 S Federal Ave, Mason City. Memorials may be directed to the Randy Hirsch memorial fund, 1512 S Delaware, Mason City, IA 50401. Randall Lynn Hirsch was born November 1, 1946, in Charles City, IA, the son of Roger and Helen (Baldwin) Hirsch. He graduated from Rockwell High School in 1964. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1965, and proudly served his country until his honorable discharge in 1968. Over the years, Randy worked for Thunders Auto. He enjoyed going to the races, selling cars, going out to eat with family and friends on a regular basis. He was a good friend to everyone he met. Randy is survived by his father: Roger Hirsch of Rockwell and his siblings: Terry(Larry) Johnson of Rockwell, Rick, Jerry(Kathy)Hirsch of Mason City, Larry(Polly Kotherbeutal) Hirsch, Steve (Karen Rooney) Hirsch of Sheffield and David Hirsch of Maui, Hawaii. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Also two very special people who meant the world to him, Peanut and Toad. He was preceded in death by his mother.
