Robert J. 'Bob' Anderson

Robert J. Bob Anderson, 48, of 15 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, died Thursday, February 5, 2009 at home. Inurnment services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Gehling officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue. There will be a prayer service and an opportunity to share some stories at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Bob Anderson Memorial Fund. Bob was born March 20, 1960 in Algona, Iowa the son of Jack L. and Ruth A. (Logue) Anderson. He graduated from Mason City High School in 1978. Some of Bobs interests included coaching youth Soccer in the Mason City Parks and Rec. Department, playing flag football, cribbage, weightlifting, and spending time with friends eating caramel rolls while watching the Minnesota Vikings.

Bob is survived by his children, Nik of Mason City, Tom and Trenton of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Tatum of Mason City; brothers, Ric Anderson and wife Mary K of Marshalltown, Gary Anderson of Mason City, Bill Anderson of Loveland, Colorado, and Steve Anderson and wife Lori of Mesa, Arizona; 12 nieces and nephews.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Tom and son, Tyler.
