Roberta (Bobbi) A. Sheahan, 58, of Mason City, IA, died Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue with Pastor Kathy Graves of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Monday (April 29, 2013) at Major Erickson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Roberta Sheahan memorial fund in care of the family. In memory of Roberta, everyone is encouraged to wear black, gold, or silver to the services – Roberta’s favorite colors. Roberta was born July16, 1954, in Mason City, the daughter of Kenneth and Barbara (Formanek) Johnson. She attended Mason City High School and continued her education at Stafford College – specializing in Wedding Consulting. Aside from being a homemaker, Bobbi was employed with CBM Food Service and held a position as Head Cook at the Cerro Gordo County Jail. On June 7, 2008, Bobbi married the love of her life, Jay Sheahan, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Bobbi enjoyed spending time with her family – especially her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed crafts, cooking, karaoke, Chinese food, collecting Wizard of Oz memorabilia and decorating her award winning cakes. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Bobbi is survived by her loving husband: Jay Sheahan of Mason City; her children: Tammy Carter and husband SSG Carter, Zac of Colorado Springs, CO. and Kelly Stewart of Mason City; 2 grandchildren: Kadin and Wyatt “Ya Ya” Carter; her siblings: Laurelie Woolley and husband Rick of Coralville, IA, Julie Schlawin and husband Greg of Garner, IA, Janie Olson and husband Daryl of Brandon, SD, Leo Krambeer and wife Karen of Plymouth, IA, Loretta Martin of Mason City, and Lennie Kelly of Surprise, AZ; uncle: Larry Johnson and his wife of Lovick, TX; great aunt: Clara Formanek of Britt, IA and special cousin: Leonard Johnson and his wife Leslie of Mason City. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters: Barb DeWall and Charlotte Bray; nephew: David Hartema; and niece: Theresa Kelly.
