Ronnie Lee Julius

Ronnie Lee Julius, 71, of Mason City passed away on April 4, 2023, at the IOOF Home. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N Pennsylvania Ave. with Pastor Paul Boostrom officiating. Memorials may be directed to the family of Ronnie Julius.

Ronnie was born in the Mitchell County Hospital on April 12, 1951, to Lee and Delia (Stout) Julius. He graduated from Riceville High School in 1969. After graduating from High School Ronnie started working at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, as an Orderly and later worked his way up to working in the Methodist Hospital, also there in Rochester, as a Surgical Technician, until he retired from there after 30 years. Ronnie married Helena (Balolot) in Mason City, IA on May 11, 2007. The very happy couple made their home in Mason City, IA.

Ronnie is survived by his wife Helena, sister Kathy Welch (companion, Bill Eastman) of McIntire, nephews: Ryan (Heather) Welch of Northwood, their children, Ethan and Sydney and Nate (April) Welch of Grimes and their children Finley and Scarlett, sister-in-law Delia Kilby, niece Angelina Kilby. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Delia Julius.
