Ruth A. Anderson

Ruth A. Anderson, 74, of 709 East State St., died Monday, October 23, 2006 at her home. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM Friday (October 27, 2006) at Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams with Rev. Jon Seda officiating. Inurnment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday (October 26, 2006) at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the Ruth A. Anderson Memorial Fund. Ruth A. Anderson was born April 11, 1932 in Cresco, Iowa the daughter of Robert and Georgia (Bickford) Logue. Ruth graduated from Holy Family High School in Mason City. She married Jack L. Anderson on May 17, 1955 in Minneapolis, MN. She worked at a Nurse?s Aide at St. Joseph?s Mercy Hospital for 25 years until her retirement in 1993, after which she went to work for Hy-Vee West in the Kitchen and Regal Liquors until 2004. She enjoyed making ceramics, crocheting, playing cards and Bingo. Her passion was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Ruth is survived by her children, Ric L. Anderson and wife Mary K. of Marshalltown, IA, Gary M. Anderson of Phoenix, AZ, Bill D. Anderson of Loveland, CO, Bob Anderson of Mason City, Steve J. Anderson and wife Lori of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren, Katie, Dan and his fiancé Cristi, Kelly, Caly and husband Erik, Rob, Nic, Tom, Trent, Tatum, Ashley, Megan, Stephanie, and Tara; and two great-grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack; son, Tom and grandchild, Tyler. Major Erickson and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. (641)-423-0924.
