MASON CITY: Ruth H. Krough, 68, of Mason City, died Friday, August 22, 2008 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at Grace Evangelical Free Church, 440 Illinois Ave. N., with Pastor Scott Davis officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood- St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Monday, August 25, 2008 at the Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Memorials may be directed to the Ruth H. Krough memorial fund in care of the family.
Ruth was born November 12, 1939 in Mountain Lake, MN, the daughter of George and Helen (Fast) Wieler. She graduated from high school in 1958 in Windom, MN. She went to NIACC for CNA training and worked for several years at Mercy Medical Center, Heritage Care Center, and the Good Shepherd Care Center in Mason City. She also worked at Wal-Mart as a greeter.
She loved animals, treats, reading, music and was an avid Twins and Vikings fan. She loved spending time with her family, watching football with her grandson, an avid Packers fan, and watching her granddaughter decorate her windows. She was an exemplary example of courage for her family, friends, and neighbors during the past year and a half as she endured many health setbacks. She touched the lives of many during her stay at Good Shepherd Care Center and during her employment as a certified Nurses Aide.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Lori Faught and husband Tad of Mason City; two sons, Timothy Krough of Mason City and Robert Krough of Ohio; grandson, Justin Faught and granddaughter, Rebecca Faught.
Those who have gone before her are her parents; brothers, Lyman and Allan; and sister, Susan.

Memorials may be directed to the Ruth H. Krough memorial fund in care of the family.
Cemetery:
Interment will be in Elmwood- St. Joseph Cemetery.
