Ruth Nancy Jane Thomas Reasor, 89 of 17 Westview Drive, died Thursday, March 16, 2006 at the IOOF Home. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Monday in the Thomas Chapel at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1405 S. Pennsylvania Avenue with Rev. Bill Poland officiating. Private family inurnment services will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue and continue at the church one hour before the service. A White Shrine service will be held at 7:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Wesley United Methodist Church. Ruth was born August 21, 1916 in Mason City the daughter of Andrew J. and Dorothea J. (Balder) Thomas. She graduated from Mason City High School. Along with husband Harry, they owned and operated Colonial & Pacific Trucking Company in Storm Lake, Iowa for many years. Ruth lived in Storm Lake and Garner, Iowa before moving to Mason City in 1977. In 1970, she started her career in china painting. She went on to teach china painting privately as well as at North Iowa Area Community College. She was past president of the Iowa State Association of China Painters. Ruth was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the White Shrine. She enjoyed traveling, baking, cooking, bridge and church and family. Ruth is survived by a son, Lynn A. Reasor and wife Rita Mae of Sigourney; daughter, Rene J. Saldana of Salina, Kansas; grandchildren, William Thomas, Michael Thomas, Alexandra Thomas, Melissa Seelye, Steven Saldana, Brenda Jo Reasor and Mindy Jolene Reasor; 4 great grandchildren; niece, Louise M. Munday and husband Ronald W. of Muscatine; nephew, Michael Ford of Mason City; niece, Nancy Jane Schwab and husband Alvin of Minnesota; great nephew, Grant Munday. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, 1st and 2nd husbands, Harry Williams and Leonard E. Reasor; son, Robert M. Thomas; grandson, Robert J. Reasor; sisters, Cecil Sulteen, Lola Sawtelle, Gladys Oldfield, Vera Thomas, Edna Ford and Evelyn Rickey; brothers, Manley and Lawrence Thomas.
