Ruth 'Suzy' Carmany

Ruth “Suzy” Carmany, 88, of Mason City, died Wednesday, November 21, 2012 peacefully at her home. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Elmwood St. Joseph Cemetery in Mason City with Rev. Kent Mechler, Chaplain of Good Shepherd Health Center officiating.. Friends may gather at Chop Restaurant at 11 South Delaware, for coffee and memories after graveside service. Memorials may be directed to the family in her name. She is survived by her sister Bessie Speaker, Brother Eli Killian, nieces Susan, Sandra and Tracy, nephew Tom Killian, and adopted niece “Mish” Jean Scott. She is also survived by a special person, friend, neighbor and confidant, Pauline Zielie. Suzy said many times she couldn’t have stayed in her home without Pauline’s help. May she now rest in peace. Suzy will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Milka Killian, and nephew Mark Killian.
