Sarah Jean Reding

Sarah Jean Reding, 27, of Mason City, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008 surrounded by her family, following a courageous 2 year battle with cancer.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, April 26, 2008 at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 302 5th Street SE with the Rev. Kenneth Gehling and Msgr. John Hemann officiating.  Interment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.  A visitation celebrating Sarahs life will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Friday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue.  A Rosary Service will be held at 6:30 PM., followed by a Scriptual Wake Service. In Leui of flowers memorials may be directed to the Sarah J. Reding memorial fund in care of the family. 
 
Sarah was born January 14, 1981 in Cedar Rapids, IA., the daughter of John and Donna (Gatto) Reding.  She attended Mason City Schools and worked at Hardees.
 
Sarah is survived by her parents, her loving partner, Jeremy Hansen and siblings, Kelly (John) Barragan, Trenton Reding and Brenda (Dan) Servidio.  Nieces and nephews include Marisa and Carsen Barragan, Amanda and Tyler Reding, Thomas and Chelsey Servidio.  Sarah was their favorite Aunt Rah-Rah, the fun aunt.  The children were her world.  She was also survived by her grandmothers, Esther Reding and Mae Gatto and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
 
Sarah was preceded in death by her grandfathers, John G. Reding and Robert T. Gatto, uncles Paul Ruckebeil, Frank and Vincent Gatto, and her aunt Jean Becker.

Visitation:
Visitation will be held 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Major Erickson Funeral Home with a Rosary Service held at 6:30 PM followed by a Scriptual Wake Service.
