Shari L. Nolte, 59, of Mason City passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Mercy One North Iowa Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 9, 2024, at St. James Lutheran Church, 1148 4th St SE, with Pastor Sid Bohls officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N Pennsylvania Ave. Interment will be held in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family of Shari Nolte. 

Shari Lee Nolte was born on October 12, 1964, in Britt to parents James and Sharol (Wittmeier) Hefti. She grew up on a farm North of Renwick and attended Boone Valley High School until her junior year, then graduated from Algona High School in 1983. She went on to graduate from Hamilton Business College with her associate's degree. In October of 1994, she began working for Principal Financial Group and did so until 2020, going on to work for Ascensus.

On November 25, 1989, she was united in marriage to Bruce Nolte at the First Lutheran Church in Algona. Between this union, the couple had two children. Shari loved her family and friends dearly and was an especially devoted grandma to her three granddaughters. She loved to go shopping, particularly to spoil her granddaughters. Shari also enjoyed crafting, collecting craft items and was always especially pleased to be able to utilize her crafting collection to help with a specific project or need. Shari was a particularly strong and resilient woman. Her grit, dedication to her family, and solid advice will be deeply missed.

Shari is survived by her children Joseph (Jorden) Nolte, Jacquelyn (Kenneth) Wright; grandchildren, Emberly Nolte, Ava Wright, Violet Wright; mother, Sharol Hefti; siblings, Deanne (Joe) Jacob, Lynne Hefti, Shane (Taunya) Hefti, Nicki Hardy; many loved nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Nolte; father, James Hefti; father and mother-in-law, Carl and Dorothy Nolte.
