Sharon L. Kropman

Sharon L. Kropman, 70, of Mason City, passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at MercyOne Medical Center – North Iowa.

A funeral service will be on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 10:30 a.m., at Adas Israel Synagogue, 620 North Adams. A visitation will be held a half hour prior to service time on Monday.

Interment will be held in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.

Sharon Leslie Kropman was born on April 7, 1951 to parents Leonard and Sylvia (Zuckerman) Kropman in Mason City, Iowa. Sharon graduated from Mason City High School in 1969. After graduation, Sharon went to college in Cedar Falls, Iowa for a short time before returning to Mason City to attend NIACC. Sharon graduated from NIACC in 1986. After graduation, Sharon started working as a psych nurse at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City. She worked there until her retirement in 2006. Sharon was united into marriage to Doug Harding in 1973 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The couple later divorced.
In her free time, Sharon loved going to movies, concerts, plays, and musicals. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Sharon was always known as being a “second mother” to her brothers; always making sure they were well cared for and taken care of. Sharon was a loving sister, daughter, and friend and she will be greatly missed by those who knew her and loved her deeply.

Sharon is survived by her brothers, David and Elliott Kropman; aunt, Marion Cohen and uncle, Dr. Gerold Cohen; several cousins, and special friends, Beverly Marshall and Paula Gahn.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Sylvia Kropman.
