Teresa A. Mustain

Teresa Ann Mustain, 57, passed away after a long battle with illness on Wednesday, March 7th, 2013 in Mason City. She was surrounded by family. A memorial service will be held at 4:00pm with luncheon to follow on April 20th at First Grace Baptist Church in Sheffield, Iowa. Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, there is a memorial fund set up at Wells Fargo Bank for Teresa to help her family cover expenses associated with her death. Condolences may be sent c/o Amanda Kammrad – P.O. Box 496, Sheffield, IA 50475. Teresa was born in Sedalia, Missouri on December 30, 1955, to Dale and Louise Mustain. She grew up in Mason City, Iowa. She moved to Sheffield in 1978 where she raised her two living daughters. Teresa earned her GED and went on to earn her associates degree in nursing at NIACC. She worked as a registered nurse until her health prohibited her from working. Teresa was kind, caring and had a huge heart. She loved her family unconditionally. She especially loved animals and has rescued many birds, cats, and dogs over the years. She also greatly enjoyed her fish aquariums. Teresa always had a green thumb and enjoyed growing many house plants and gardening. Teresa was very artistic and created beautiful projects and won awards for her crewel embroidery. She had a passion for collecting anything fantasy – especially dragons and wizards. She is survived by her life partner and friend of many years – David Francis; their children – daughter, Amanda (Grell-Mustain) Kammrad, her husband Derek – their children Tjaden, Cody, Cortlyn, and Kaeleah; daughter, Starr (Grell-Mustain) Hartnett, her husband Doug – their children Alexander and Qhorin; son Shawn Francis, his girlfriend Ashley Meyer – their children Sydney and Londynn; daughter, Savannah (Francis) Ruhnke, her husband Mike – their children Sebastian and Maxton; honorary daughter, Jessica Thurke, her husband Matt – their children Brock, Paige, and Reese; honorary daughter, Nicki Diaz – and her daughter Kacyah; mother, Louise Mustain; siblings – sister Carol Feistel, her husband Dick, brother Keith Mustain, his wife Colleen; and sister Diane Mustain; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Mustain, her brother, David Mustain, and her daughter, Laura Grell.
