Thelma L. Hoveland

MASON CITY ? Thelma L. Hoveland, 86, of Mason City, died Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at the Good Shepherd Health Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday (March 17, 2006) at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, with Rev. Steve Palo of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Thelma L. Hoveland memorial fund. Thelma was born April 19, 1919 in Thompson, Iowa the daughter of Hans and Anne Osheim (Quam). She attended school in Thompson. She lived in Lake Mills and Cedar Rapids before moving to Mason City in 1963. Thelma was a babysitter and really enjoyed needlework in her free-time. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Thelma is survived by her son Ronald Harang of Godfrey, Illinois; ten grandchildren, Theresa, David, Michael, Patrick, Kathryn, Jennifer, Christopher, Laurie, Todd, and Daniel; thirteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Helmer Osheim of Lake Mills, Vernon and wife Lorraine Osheim of Thompson; sister, Julane Carolus of Belmond. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents: daughter, LaVonne, son David, grandchild, Kimberly Harang; four brothers and six sisters.
