Theresa McAloon

Theresa ?Tres? McAloon, age 75, of Garner, IA died Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center of North Iowa. Memorial Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, November 2, 2006 at St. Boniface Catholic Chruch in Garner with Father Michael Schueller officiating. Her family will greet friends at the church 1 hour prior to services. Inurnment will be at St. Boniface Cemetery, Garner. Theresa Haus was born July 2, 1931 in North Washington, Iowa to Edward and Thelma (Bach) Haus. She graduated from St. Mary?s High School in North Washington. On August 3, 1953 Theresa was united in marriage with Harry McAloon in Des Moines, Iowa. Theresa was a member of the Catholic Daughter of Americas. She retired from Hancock County Abstract Company in 2004 after over 30 years of loyal service. She enjoyed her work and all the people she met and worked with. Tres enjoyed gathering with family and friends to play cards and bingo. Music and laughter were never in shortage with the many gifts her family displayed at church and holiday gatherings. Her flower garden also brought pleasure to her as the seasons changed. It had its own special beauty Spring, Summer, Fall and even Winter. The very essence of Theresa?s life was LOVE! She lived and breathed for her children and grandchildren, and the last few years her great-grandchildren. She took so much joy in giving love to her family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are her children; Mark McAloon and friend Becca of Mason City, Martin McAloon and his wife Kay of Garner, and Michelle Lau and her husband Dennis of Winner, South Dakota. Her grandchildren; Bobbi Breitkreutz, Danielle Breitkreutz, Shannon Lau and her husband Greg Allen, September Lau, Summer Swenson and her husband Jeff, Dustin Lau and his wife Amanda, Dane Lau, Derek Lau, David Lau, Devin Lau, Samantha Lau, Stephanie Lau, Shawnessey Lau, Shelby Lau, and Sydney Lau. Her great-grandchildren; Piper Breitkreutz, Isaac Swenson, Cecilia and Emma Lau; one brother, Dan Haus and his wife Marilyn and one sister, Mary Randall and her husband Clair She was preceded in death by her husband Harry in 2000, her parents, a son Michael and a sister Annette Rapp.
