Timothy L. Parker, age 67, of Mason City, died Thursday, March 11, 2010, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City. Upon his wishes he was cremated and there will be no formal services at this time. Memorials may be directed to the Timothy L. Parker memorial fund in care of the family, 1607 North Carolina PL., Mason City, Iowa 50401.
Timothy L. Parker was born October 10, 1942 in New Port News, Virginia, the son of Linwood H. and Mabel (Tripp) Parker. He attended schools in Virginia. He ran a Fix-it shop in Perry, Algona and Clear Lake, IA, before moving to Mason City where he owned and operated Mr Fix-It. He was married to Karen Berninghaus in Clear Lake on May 31, 1984. Tim enjoyed fixing things and running his own business. He enjoyed traveling, cars, listening to music, and riding his motorcycle, he enjoyed all life had to offer and enjoyed sharing those experiences with others. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and had a special talent of making people laugh. He is survived by his wife, Karen Parker of Mason City; step-daughter, Carmen DeWeerd and husband Jeff of Sioux Center, IA; children, Tim Parker and Tammy Parker, both of Des Moines; granddaughter, Jordan DeWeerd of Sioux Center, IA; siblings, Greg Parker and Helen Parker, both of New Port News, Virginia and special sister, Patsy Ann Smith of Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
