Van F. Brummund

Mason City: Van F. Brummund, 63, of Mason City, died Friday, November 28, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. Services will be held at a later date.

Van was born May 29, 1945 in Mason City, Iowa. He graduated from Kanawha High School. He worked for Northern Vending Company and Curries until he had a stroke in 2002. He enjoyed going to stock car races, watching football and other sports on TV, and having his morning coffee at Perkins every morning.

He is survived his wife: Donna Brummund of Mason City, his children: Jason Brummund of Mason City and Darcy Chase of Mason City; 4 grandchildren: Seirra, Katlin, Owen and Carter; 1 sister: Kea Hope and husband Jerry of Renton, WA; several nieces and nephews; 4 sisters-in-law and 2 brothers-in-law.


Van was preceded in death by his parents, step-parents and several in-laws.
