Vera Marie Walk

Vera M. Walk, 88, of Mason City, died Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the I.O.O.F Home.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, April 19,2019, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N Pennsylvania Ave.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time on Friday.

Inurnment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery.

For a long time, Mom has expressed, to us kids, how much she misses Dad, the love of her life. Last month Mom decided to make the journey to find him. This week her journey was successful. Mom and Dad are finally together again. But Mom's journey had really began many years ago. It started when she was born to very loving parents in rural Clear Lake. She was raised happily with her two brother Ray and Dick and her sister Evvie. Mom loved her sports. She even lettered in basketball at Clear Lake high school and did some running/walking races while living in Montana. And of course, no one can forget about her love for NASCAR and Rusty Wallace, after graduation Mom married Jack. Although the marriage was short, the four "Boys" were born, Steve, Bob, Dave and Dan. In 1959 she married Dad. The "Girls", Cherri, Sara and Jana were born from this very happy 58-year marriage. Her dedication to us kids and to her family goes without saying.

We, the kids, wish to thank all of Mom's family and friends for sharing their love with her. Without your love Mom's life would have been empty. We wish you a life as successful and loving as Mom's was.
