Vickie E. Duffy

Vickie E. Duffy, 69, of Mason City, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at the Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City. Per Vickie’s wishes, she was cremated. No services will be held at this time. Memorials may be directed to the family of Vickie Duffy.

Vickie Elaine Duffy was born on August 24, 1950 to parents Donald and Melba (Tweet) Mitchell. Vickie grew up in Waterloo, Iowa and graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1969.

Vickie was married to Jerry Simmons for many years, and to this union, two children were born, Tammy and Terry. They later divorced.

In her free time, Vickie enjoyed coloring, playing on her tablet, crocheting, and most of all, visits from her granddaughter, Jessica and talking with her daughter, Tammy. Her great grandkids meant everything to her and Maria would put a smile on her face on any bad day. She was the best mother, grandmother, and great grandmother that any child could ask for and she will be dearly missed.

Vickie is survived by her two children, Tammy (Simmons) Kyles and Terry Simmons; five grandchildren, Jessica (Cipriano), Cody, and Landon; 14 great grandchildren, Edwin, Christiano, Juan, Jesus, Maria, Sebastian, Marcos and Drew; and one sister, Angela.

Vickie is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Robert and Steven Mitchell; and her life companion, Robert Bradshaw.
