Warren D. Tyler

MASON CITY Warren D. Tyler, 83, of Mason City, died Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. Per Warrens wishes, he will be cremated and no services will be held.
Warren was born February 18, 1928, in Garner, Iowa, the son of Willard and Blanche (Carothers) Tyler. He graduated from Mason City High School in 1946. He was united in marriage to Barbara J. Burton on August 20, 1947, in Salina, Kansas, and to this union came three sons: Ken, Ben and David. Warren served his country in the Army from March 1945 to November 1947. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and operating his Ham Radio.
Warren is survived by his wife of 64 years, Barbara Tyler of Mason City; three sons, Ken (Kathy) Tyler of Mason City, Ben (Terry) Tyler of Bolivar, MO, David (Ann) Tyler of Mason City; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two sisters, Catherine Garrity of Elephant Butte, NM, Mary (Lewis) Bratz of Omaha, NE.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
