MASON CITY Wilma I. Miller, 86 a resident of Good Shepherd Health Center, died, Friday, February 11, 2005, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Graveside services for Wilma will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Bill Poland of Wesley United Methodist Church officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Wesley United Methodist Church. Wilma was born February 6, 1919 the daughter of Anton E. and Edna B. (Weeks) Johnson in Albert City, Iowa. She attended school in Albert City and graduated from Albert City High School. Wilma then attended Buena Vista College in Storm Lake and then the Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. She was united in marriage to Andrew G. Miller on October 2, 1942 in Bethany, Missouri. In 1942 Wilma and Andrew moved to Mason City. She taught school for six years, worked at Damons, as was in sales for F.W. Woolworths for nine and a half years. Wilma most recently was the manager of Lehigh Credit Unit for sixteen years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and involved in the Mary Circle. Wilma also was a former member of the VFW Auxiliary. Wilma is survived by her son, James of Mason City, daughter, Mary Rheboth, Massachusetts; and two grandchildren, Jared and David. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers and one sister.
