Mason City ? Wilma Leone Larson, 89, of 4 3rd St. N.W., died Monday, April 10, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday (April 14, 2006) at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, with the Rev. Kathy Graves of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in Grant Center Cemetery, rural Fertile. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Major Erickson Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the Donor?s Choice. Wilma L. Larson was born July 9, 1916 in rural Fertile, Iowa the daughter of Roy V. and Mae (Humphrey) Larson. She attended and graduated from Fertile High School in 1933. She then attended Waldorf College graduating in 1935 with a two year degree. In 1938 she moved to Rake, Iowa where she taught school. In 1944 she moved to Mason City to work for Younker?s Department Store as an Office Manager. She worked there until her retirement in 1986. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of a bowling league for many years. She was an avid card player and especially enjoyed playing Pinochle and ?500.? She also liked to travel, especially to northern Minnesota to go fishing at the many lakes. She was a volunteer at Good Shepherd Health Center for a number of years and was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Wilma is survived by her sister, Genevieve Bray of Osage; nieces and nephews, Myrna Davis and husband Melvin of Mason City, Marilyn Halverson and husband Mickey of San Benito, TX, Dennis Bray and wife Sue of Austin, MN, Ray Petersburg and wife Sharon of Loveland, CO., Julie Groepper and husband Gregg of McAllen, TX, Dan Petersburg and wife Linda of Cookesville, TN, Doug Petersburg and wife Lorna of Joice, and Kathy Petersburg of Clear Lake; and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Eunice Petersburg
