Yvonne Haltom

VENTURA: Yvonne Haltom, 84, of Ventura, died Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Saturday, September 20 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, Mason City. Per her request, the body has been cremated. Memorials may be directed to the Ventura Public Library or donors choice. Yvonne was born February 24, 1942 in Portland, Oregon the daughter of George and Evelyn (Masters) Hildreth. She was raised in California. Yvonne married Bill Haltom February 18, 1942 in California. They moved to Des Moines then to Clear Lake in 1975. Some of Yvonnes interests included entertaining, cooking and fishing. She loved being with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her many friends.

Yvonne is survived by her daughter, Pam (Ron) Charlson of Clear Lake; grandchildren, Melissa (Joe) Fruscella of Chesterfield, Missouri, Jason (Shelley) Kinker of Chesterfield, Missouri and Christopher Charlson of St. Louis, Missouri; great grandchildren, Will Kinker, Max, Sam, and Giovanni Fruscella; brother, Reg (Claire) Hildreth of LaSelva Beach, California; niece, Tina Oldfield of Monument, Colorado; nephew, Reggie Hildreth Jr. of San Jose, California; cousin, Jr (Jerry) Majors of Weimar, California.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bill in 2001.
